The Place Where the Last Man Died is a 2010 post-apocalyptic movie that takes place in a desolate wasteland, where the few remaining survivors struggle to stay alive. The movie explores the consequences of humanity's self-destructive tendencies, highlighting the persistent theme of human conflict and destructive behavior. The film begins with an abandoned car, its occupants long gone, lost in the vast, barren landscape of a world decimated by war, hunger, and disease. In this desolate world, there are no more nations, no more governments, and no more laws, just a handful of survivors trying to survive the harsh conditions with whatever means they have left.

The main character, a nameless wanderer played by Mirko Gabelica, roams the wasteland, scavenging for food, water, and shelter. He is a hardened survivor, whose only goal is to stay alive.

As he makes his way through the barren wasteland, he encounters two other survivors, a young boy named Kais (Marko Kapitanovic) and an old man named Lech (Dragan Kovacevic). The old man is gravely ill, and Kais is desperately looking for a cure. They both believe that a legendary oasis, the last place on earth where plants still grow, could hold the cure that the old man needs.

The wanderer hesitates to go with them, knowing that the journey will be tough and could end up deadly. But when they offer him food and a bit of shelter, he finally agrees to go with them.

The group's journey to the oasis is fraught with peril, as they encounter other survivors who would rather take their supplies and kill them than offer help. The wanderer's survival skills come in handy, and the group manages to fend off attacks from brutal, scavenging bands.

The oasis they eventually reach is not quite as they imagined it. Instead of a lush garden, they find an abandoned military installation in the middle of the desert. Inside, they find a bunker full of weapons, supplies, and a mysterious machine that could change everything.

As the group settles in, they discover that the last man who ever lived there had a peculiar obsession with the machine, and they quickly realize that it might have led to his downfall.

The Place Where the Last Man Died is a poignant story about the fragility of human life and how quickly we can turn into our own worst enemies. The movie's haunting visuals and striking cinematography vividly capture the bleakness of the post-apocalyptic world, as well as the beauty of the few remaining places untouched by the vast destruction. The performances of Gabelica, Kapitanovic, and Kovacevic are compelling and bring life to the otherwise stark and desolate landscape.

Overall, The Place Where the Last Man Died is a gripping and thought-provoking film that leaves the viewer pondering the consequences of human greed and self-destruction. The machine at the center of the story is a metaphor for our interconnectedness and the notion that our actions can have wide-reaching consequences. It is a cautionary tale, reminding us that we must strive to be better and work together to build a better future, or risk falling victim to our own worst nature.
