The Oatmeal Man is a 2014 horror-comedy movie that was directed and written by Sean Gordon. The story is set in a small town, Somewhere, USA, where the townsfolk are struggling to make ends meet. They come up with a plan to save their town from financial ruin by producing oatmeal. However, their plans go awry when a batch of oatmeal becomes contaminated with an unknown substance, unleashing an evil creature that terrorizes the town.
The movie begins with a montage of the town's people discussing the dire situation that they are in. The only solution that they can come up with is to produce oatmeal, which will bring in revenue and keep the town afloat. In a scene reminiscent of Breaking Bad, the production process of the oatmeal is shown, including the mixing of the ingredients, the packaging, and the distribution. It is during this process that a batch of oatmeal becomes contaminated with a strange substance that nobody can identify.
The townsfolk do not realize that the contaminated oatmeal is the source of their problems until a delivery man is attacked and killed by a strange creature. The creature is made entirely of oatmeal and possesses a voracious appetite for human flesh. The townsfolk, alarmed by the strange occurrences, call upon the local authorities to help them. Sheriff Arden (played by Krisondra Daigneault) along with Deputy Stanley (played by Sean Gordon) investigate the incidents and discover that the contaminated oatmeal is the cause of the chaos.
The creature, now dubbed the Oatmeal Man, starts wreaking havoc all over town, causing destruction and killing many of the town's people. The townsfolk realize that they need to take matters into their own hands and come up with a plan to destroy the Oatmeal Man. The situation becomes even more complicated when the townsfolk realize that the Oatmeal Man is evolving and becoming stronger with each passing day.

The characters are well-developed, and the actors portray their roles convincingly. Krisondra Daigneault gives a noteworthy performance as Sheriff Arden, who is strong-willed and determined to protect her town from the Oatmeal Man.
The movie's special effects are impressive, and the Oatmeal Man is a sight to behold. The directors and production crew have done an excellent job of creating a truly terrifying and believable creature. The sound effects and lighting contribute to the overall eerie atmosphere of the movie, making it a well-crafted horror flick.
The humor in the movie is subtle but effective, with several moments that will make you laugh out loud. The combination of horror and comedy is well-balanced, with neither taking away from the other.
