This documentary explores the persistent rumor that developed following World War II that an invaluable cache of negatives existed, taken during the Spanish Civil War by photojournalists Gerda Taro, Robert Capa and David Seymour, and had been misplaced. These three lost boxes became known as The Mexican Suitcase. This film recounts how this collection was finally recovered by members of the International Center of Photography headquartered in New York City in order to exhibit them as an historical record of three decades of fascism in Spain.
