The Ghosts of Edendale is a 2003 horror movie directed by Stefan Avalos. The movie revolves around four struggling artists, Jackie (Paula Ficara), Todd (Stephen Wastell), Bill (Andrew Kirsanov), and Betty (Davina Joy), who move into a dilapidated mansion in the heart of Hollywood's Edendale district to pursue their dreams. Jackie is a struggling actress, Todd is an aspiring filmmaker, and Bill is a writer, while Betty is a psychic. They all believe that living together in the haunted mansion will bring about an atmosphere that would spark their creativity, as they are all drawn to the rumors that the mansion was once owned by the legendary director, Carl Laemmle, who was said to dabble in occult practices. They think it's the perfect place to inspire them.

Soon after they move in, strange things start happening. They start experiencing paranormal activity, and Betty feels that the ghosts of the mansion's former inhabitants are reaching out to her. She believes that the spirits are trying to communicate with her and warns her housemates of the danger they face.

As the days go by, the paranormal activity intensifies, and the housemates start to feel that they are in grave danger. They start investigating and soon discover that the house is built on an ancient Indian burial ground, which explains the strange occurrences in the place.

The group hires a psychic medium, Madame Camille (Tess McVicker), to help them communicate with the ghosts so they can figure out how to stop the hauntings. Madame Camille holds a séance, and the ghosts reveal to them that they died tragically and are seeking revenge.

As the hauntings become more frequent and aggressive, the housemates begin to fear for their lives. They decide to perform a ritual to banish the ghosts and put an end to the hauntings.

Overall, The Ghosts of Edendale is a horror movie that capitalizes on classic horror themes, with just the right dose of suspense to keep you on the edge of your seat. The movie's theme of ancient Indian burial grounds reawakened by modern intrusions has been done before, however, the movie takes an interesting twist with the haunted house trope, adding a layer of psychological horror that makes the movie intriguing.

The cast delivers decent performances, and the characters' individual stories add depth to the movie's plot. While it's not the best horror movie ever made, The Ghosts of Edendale is a movie that evokes an eerie and unsettling atmosphere that could leave you with goosebumps.

The Ghosts of Edendale is a 2003 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.8.
