The Challenge is a dramatic action movie. An American boxer goes to Japan. An American boxer's career is over. He finds work as a security man escorting a rare and precious sword. When he accepts the job he does not know there are two brothers bitterly fighting over this family heirloom. The brothers come from a Samurai tradition and one of them teaches the boxer their methods of fighting.

The focus of this movie is on fighting traditions. An American boxer no longer has a fighting career. During the course of a job he begins to learn traditional Japanese fighting.
