The Baytown Disco is a 2012 action-comedy film directed by Barry Battles and written by Battles and Griffin Hood. The film, which stars Paul Wesley, Eva Longoria, Justin Chatwin, and Billy Bob Thornton, follows the Oodie brothers, three redneck brothers who are hired by a woman named Celeste to rescue her godson from her abusive ex-husband.
The movie takes place in the small town of Baytown, Alabama, and begins with the Oodie brothers, Brick (Clayne Crawford), Lincoln (Daniel Cudmore), and McQueen (Travis Fimmel), working as assassins for the local mafia boss, Carlos. The brothers are tasked with killing a man who has stolen from Carlos, but things go awry when they discover that the man is actually the ex-husband of a woman named Celeste (Longoria).
Celeste hires the Oodie brothers to rescue her godson Rob from her ex-husband, who is a drug lord named Carlos (Thornton). The brothers agree to take the job, but they soon find themselves in over their heads as they become entangled in a web of corruption, drugs, and violence.
Along the way, the brothers team up with a police officer named Anthony (Chatwin) and a former soldier named Cassie (Natalie Martinez) to take down Carlos and his criminal empire. The group faces numerous obstacles, including corrupt cops, vicious drug dealers, and a transgender assassin named Binky (Serinda Swan) who is hired by Carlos to kill the Oodies.
Throughout the film, there are plenty of action-packed fight scenes and car chases, as well as comedic moments that provide levity to the intense plot. Longoria delivers a standout performance as Celeste, a strong and determined woman who will stop at nothing to protect her godson.
The Baytown Disco is not without its flaws, however. Some of the comedic moments feel forced, and the plot can be a bit convoluted at times. That being said, the film is an enjoyable action-comedy that is sure to entertain fans of the genre.
Overall, The Baytown Disco is a fun and entertaining film that boasts a talented cast and plenty of thrilling action sequences. While it may not be a cinematic masterpiece, it is definitely worth a watch for those in the mood for a lighthearted and action-packed flick.
