The friends have been invited to Mr. Growl's for dinner. Rosa is very excited until Gladys attempts to take her in hand. Believing that friends should all be the same, Gladys persuades Rosa to wear similar clothes as her. Poor Rosa likes her own clothes and doesn't feel comfortable in lace and a hat. Things get worse when Gladys shows Rosa how to walk and it's not much fun for a bear to walk like an emu. Oh dear! Now Gladys is teaching Rosa how to talk. It seems that Rosa is going to have to dress, walk and talk just like Gladys.
Bingo is also having trouble. His friend Duck just doesn't have the confidence to think or act for himself. Fortunately, Molly comes to his rescue by pointing out the things he can do that Bingo can't - like quack and paddle and play the bongo drums.
It takes a story from Mr. Growl to convince Gladys that friends can be different so soon Rosa is Rosa again and has a flower in her hair as she leads the dancing to the beat of Duck's bongos. It's party time.
