Kadhirvel is a honest young man who makes a living as a water boy. To his misfortune, a drought sets itself upon the city, and Kadhirvel begins to dig a hole for a well. He summons a water diviner, by the name of Shanmugham, to find the perfect place for the well. Before he can ever reach the village, Shanmugham is killed in a freak accident. Now Kadhirvel must find another way to get water and save the villagers from drought.
