Wei contacts a priest, Father Chen (Joe Shu-wei Chang), to perform an exorcism on the fish. Father Chen agrees, and together with Wei, they perform the ritual.
However, the ritual does not go as planned. The devil fish springs to life and begins to attack the group. The group is forced to flee, but they are pursued by the vengeful spirit of the fisherman's ancestor. The spirit takes possession of Ah Ching and forces him to kill his fellow fishermen.
The rest of the movie follows Wei and Father Chen as they try to exorcise the evil spirit from Ah Ching's body. They are assisted by Wei's boyfriend, who is a police officer. Together, they must fight the malevolent spirit and break the curse that has haunted the fisherman's family for generations.
