Watch Stop Thief!

This antic short from prolific early U.K. filmmaker James Williamson finds a hungry criminal getting more than he bargains for when he snatches what looks to be wrapped meat from a fellow in the midst of delivering the package. The miscreant is pursued by victim but also by all of the neighborhood dogs (who make things very uncomfortable when they join his hiding in a big wooden barrel). Alas, neither hound nor human stays hidden from the angry butcher for long. - Dennis Harvey
