This Scottish short documentary film premiered in 1961. It describes the massive shipbuilding industry that once thrived along the Clyde River in Scotland. See footage from some of Scotland's largest shipbuilding and engineering companies and hear sailor talk from the 1960s. The documentary is approximately 28 minutes long. It was the first Scottish film to win an Oscar.
