Scream Park is a horror movie released in 2012, directed by Cary Hill. The plot follows a group of friends who are on their way to Scream Park, an annual Halloween event held in a deserted amusement park. However, little do they know that the park has been taken over by a group of bloodthirsty killers who are looking for their next victims.

The movie starts off slow, introducing the main characters and setting up the story. We learn that Scream Park is the brainchild of a man named Mr. Hyde (Doug Bradley), who used to own the amusement park before it closed down due to financial problems. Hyde decides to revive the park as a Halloween attraction for horror fans, hoping to make some money off it. However, things take a dark turn when a group of employees, led by the sadistic Boss Clazzo (Alicia Marie Marcucci), decide to use the park as a cover for their killing spree.

The main characters are sympathetic and relatable, especially Wendy Wygant and Steve Rudzinski, who play the young couple, Pat and Lacey. We see their relationship evolve throughout the movie, with Pat being protective of Lacey as they navigate their way through the abandoned park. Kevin 'ohGr' Ogilvie plays the role of Gavin, the comic relief of the group. His one-liners and jokes provide some humor amidst the horror.

One of the strengths of the movie is its use of practical effects. The kills are gruesome and realistic, without relying too much on CGI. The makeup and costumes are also well done, especially the creepy clown masks worn by the killers. The setting of the amusement park is also used effectively to create tension and suspense. The dark, twisty corridors and grimy rides add to the creepy atmosphere.

The movie does have some flaws, however. Some of the dialogue is clunky and feels forced, especially when characters are explaining the backstory of the park or the motivations of the killers. The pacing can also be slow at times, with some scenes dragging on longer than necessary. However, these issues do not detract too much from the overall experience.

Overall, Scream Park is a solid horror movie that delivers on scares and gore. While it may not reinvent the genre or break new ground, it is an entertaining ride for horror fans looking for a good scare. The practical effects and creepy setting make it stand out from more generic horror fare. The performances are strong, especially from the lead actors, who bring depth and relatability to their roles. If you're looking for a scary movie to watch on Halloween night, Scream Park is definitely worth a watch.

Scream Park is a 2014 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 24 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.9.
