Carol Trig is a young lady who has spent the better part of her life dreaming of becoming something big in life. She is a high school track star who relishes the idea of waking up early and spending the entire day dreaming of winning her next track meet. She is a hard worker who cares of nothing more than running, doing well in school, and pleasing her family. She meets a young lady named Angie and the two eventually become the best of friends. However, it is because of Angie that Carol now has a hard time focusing on the more important things in her life.
