In Return of the Living Dead I and II, the chemical Trioxin turned people into brain-eating zombies. With so many infections popping up, the government is trying to control these unstoppable, cannibalistic killers through a secret program. Curt, the rebellious son of the colonel in charge of the program, sneaks into the research facility along with his girlfriend Julie. When they witness a corpse being brought back to life, they flee the facility. But they are involved in a motorcycle accident, and Julie is killed. Heartbroken, Curt uses the Trioxin to reanimate Julie, and helps her as she consumes the only thing that will nourish her-human brains.
