This fantasy drama centers around the life of Zachary Blasto, an entertainer and songwriter who tends to drink to excess. Thanks to an over-active imagination, Zachary slips into his own musical fantasy world whenever reality confronts him with something he doesn't want to acknowledge. Before long, his girlfriend has dumped him, he is in danger of losing his job, and he is quickly losing his ability to determine the difference between reality and fantasy. The longer he insists on hiding out in his dream world, the more paranoid he becomes and the more his dreams turn into nightmares.
