A behind the scenes tour of the Shaker Shoppe facility. Shakers turned away from society and lived in large families from Maine to Kentucky in the middle of the 19th century. They cared little for material things, and devoted their lives to work and God. Their simple nature can be found in the hand-crafted chairs and hutches that are made here in Lititz. In the true Shaker spirit, emphasis is put on function, not ornamentation.
