Texas billionaire Henry Carmine is a ridiculous outcast in his new town of Rio de Janeiro. He attempts to hide his true self from a female companion whom he meets one fateful night on the beach during Carnival. Lizzie, as she calls herself, discovers that Henry has a lot of money, and instead of trying to take advantage of him, she tries to help him. She seems to understand that cash isn't the only thing of value in the world, and shows him how to live life more freely. As he begins to loosen up, he sees life in a new way.
