Manisara and Durga, an elderly married couple living in the mountains of Nepal, both of whose eyesight have deteriorated from cataracts. Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Himalayan Mountains, this film follows the couple as they undertake an arduous, but life-changing three-day journey to regain their sight with a the benefit of a simple and inexpensive operation.
