- 4 min
Part of the nitrogen resources in the Earth's atmosphere are converted by special bacteria into nitrogen compounds that can be processed by plants. Humans and animals ingest these compounds in their food. Nitrogen is returned to the soil in animal excrement and in rotting plants, and can then be absorbed by plants. This film shows how the nitrogen cycle works and presents the Haber-Bosch process.
