Margie wants to apply for the job of Vernon's secretary, but he will not let her take the job. Vernon continues to treat Margie like a little girl, and she continues to object.
In this season 3 episode, Vernon threatens Margie. If she goes to Honeywell for a job, he will call off the Paris trip planned for next year. Coincidentally, Clementine Albright from Memphis, Tennessee, comes to town. Vern thinks his niece is Margie in disguise.
