In several countries that are along the southern tip of Africa there exists a gruesome ritual that is believed to bring forth healing powers to selected people at the sacrifice of an individual. The date is September 20, 2001 and authorities have just discovered the lifeless body of a five-year-old boy. The gruesome discovery is worsened by the fact that this child had his limbs and head forcibly removed. After further investigation it is determined that this style of murder matches a ritual practices by several African countries. Called "muti murders", these rituals involve the sacrifice of a child so that adults in the village will be cured of any ailments they might have.
