Lita and Antonio's dreams of a better life are stalled when Antonio attacks their white history professor and is suspended. When Antonio's best friend dies from Coronavirus, he descends into hopelessness, until Lita discovers that Professor Cole baited Antonio into attacking him. Rather than outing him, she convinces Cole to help Antonio. The three meet one last time and are all changed forever.
