Using a semi-documentary style, we are introduced to the tortured life of 14-year-old Shaun. Growing up in a broken home, Shaun prefers to spend most of his time with his truant friends at several of Melbourne's shopping centres. Viewed through Shaun's eyes, the bitter struggle to transition into adulthood brings a new perspective to the sickly sweet suburban world in Australia.
