Watch M4M : Measure for Measure

The first version of M4M screened for the public. The first half hour is a slightly alternate version of the 2D version, followed by an early preview of the 3rd version of the movie, a black and white 3D version with the backgrounds removed to simulate "black box" theatre. At the original screening the 3D, there were issues - the 3D didn't work as intended, the audio had issues even for a mublecore film and two scenes repeated. The movie then ended mid-sentence. While the audience was puzzled, the reaction was mixed (they enjoyed the 2D, didn't get the approach of the 3D and were patient with the technical problems). The mixed bag of a 'premiere' (more like a theater preview) is presented here as it happened that night - with repeating scenes, bad audio and a 3D fail. If you want to make movies more like theater, you can't pretend it all works every time. The theater putting on the problematic premiere wrote that the movie "defined Portland filmmaking" and was a financial success despite all the problems.
