This biographical documentary, told from the woman's perspective, examines the more than four decades of relationship that existed between filmmaker Ingmar Bergman and his leading lady, actress Liv Ullman. Liv and Ingmar consider themselves to be soul mates and best friends, and their story is told using assorted media, including the letters that Ingmar writes to his beloved, archival photographs, passages from Ullman's best-selling book, behind the scenes footage and numerous scenes from the dozen film projects this couple collaborated on. Liv and Ingmar as a creative force managed to produce some of the most legendary projects in entertainment.
