After a failed attempt to escape the oppressive regime in Cuba, a young artist is captured, accused of being in the CIA and sentenced to 15 years in one of Cuba's most horrific prisons. Labeled a Political Prisoner, he is abused and tortured for years and then is mysteriously released. Fearful for his life and re-imprisonment, he plans a second escape with a group of friends. Armed with heroic passion, they flee the island in the dead of the night on a homemade raft... their goal, to reach the United States.
