Legend of Sealed Book is an animated take on a classic tale. It tells the story of Yuangong, a deacon who has broken down the boundaries between two worlds. On one side of the rift sits the sealed book. And on the other side of the rift can be found the world of humanity. Yuangong is sentenced by the jade emperor to guard the book. Yuangong finds himself filled with a desire to aid humanity. He wants to bring the sealed book to humans, but he finds a difficult adversary blocking his path. He must find a way to get past a being known as the antagonist fox.
