Watch Lal Ronger Duniya

Lal Ronger Duniya (2008) is a Bengali film about red-light district workers. As a young man, Himan follows his sister into a local red light district. A thug jumps Himan but a local brothel owner intervenes. She takes Himan in and raises him as her own. Himan excels at school as he grows. Much of the story revolves around Himan and his relationships with sex workers who are friends of his. Himan becomes a social worker and returns to the red-light district to help sex workers leave that life behind and develop a healthier, more constructive and less dangerous lifestyle.
