Kusthi is a Tamil movie is a story of Jeeva who escapes from his marriage as his father forced him to marry his friend's daughter. He later saves a local goon from some gangsters and wins his heart. Jeeva meets Divya a research scholar and falls in love with her. With a lot of clashes and differences in opinion, Divya's grandfather agrees to get her married to Jeeva with a condition that he would go to Ooty with them. At the same time Jeeva's father comes in search of him and so he flees to Ooty where Divya lives. The story takes a comedic turn when Jeeva's father arrives with his friend to Ooty.
