Professor Nathaniel Pickman Wingate of the infamous Miskatonic University has succeeded in opening a portal to another dimension in the basement of his own home. He promptly gets pulled through the portal while one of the shape-shifting inhabitants of that dimension comes through into our world and takes on the form of Nathan's visiting cousin Desmon. A second creature pursues in an effort to capture the first one and takes on the form of the beautiful Jasmine. Now the two inter-dimensional beings will wreak havoc as Nathan's unsuspecting family attempt to throw him a party for his fiftieth birthday.
