When Harold Cambell falls in love with a girl from Mexico, he isn't the least bit surprised that his family is not happy. They want him to meet a nice Jewish girl and move back to New York City. But Harold knows all about the good life. Sitting on a beach and drinking a beer while watching fire dancers perform is his idea of a good time. Going to theatre shows and fancy dinners is not. But, when Carla decides to leave him, he is devastated. What proceeds is a series of actions that take him down dark paths of the soul.
