Kakushi Toride no San-Akunin: The Last Princess is a film from 2008. Makabe is a loyal retainer to Princess Yuki, tasked with transporting an ample amount of gold ingots to Hayakawa. He does this with the entourage disguised as firewood merchants, with their precious cargo obscured by logs, in order to clear any roadblocks. As his path continues, Rokurota encounters two men who have escaped enslaved labor within a gold mine. While the two men initially frown on going on the trek, they come around in order to stop Yamana's tyranny and for the gold promised to them by Rokurota.
