Construction engineer Benito Gonzalez doesn't do anything on a small scale in this Spanish drama. His burning desire is to build the tallest building ever constructed in Benidorm, naming this tower after himself. After his self-serving ways cause his girlfriend to break up with him, he becomes more determined than ever to devote his life to his Gonzalez Towers project. He even marries a woman simply because her father is a banker who can provide him with the funding he needs, but Benito's willingness to skirt permits and use substandard materials soon leads to disaster.
