Hopalong Cassidy Bar 20 Justice is an American Western film released in 1938. It is directed by Lesley Selander and starring William Boyd as Hopalong Cassidy, and George "Gabby" Hayes as Windy Halliday. The movie starts with Hoppy and Windy traveling to Twin Buttes, where they meet the ranch owner, Jim Trask. Hoppy and Windy are quickly hired by Trask to help him against a local cattle rustling gang, which is terrorizing the countryside, including Trask's Bar 20 Ranch. Hoppy quickly discovers that Trask's foreman, John Trumbull, is the leader of the gang and tries to inform Trask, but Trumbull convinces Trask that Hoppy is lying.

Meanwhile, one of Trask's newly acquired purebred bulls is stolen, and Hoppy and Windy set out to find it. They manage to track down the rustlers to a hideout in a nearby canyon, where they witness the rustlers brandishing their stolen cattle. In the ensuing gunfight, Hoppy and Windy manage to recover Trask's breeding bull and escape with their lives.

However, Hoppy is captured by the rustlers, who recognize him as a threat to their operations. They tie him up and leave him to die in the scorching sun. After a long and arduous struggle, Hoppy manages to escape and make his way back to Twin Buttes.

Upon his return, Hoppy convinces Trask of Trumbull's treachery, and the two set out to apprehend the rustlers. In the final showdown, Hoppy and Trask (who is riding atop a stagecoach) engage in a fierce gunfight with Trumbull and his band of outlaws. In the end, justice prevails, and the rustlers are defeated.

The film showcases some of the best elements of classic Hollywood Westerns; it features breathtaking scenery, thrilling action sequences, and of course, a hero who stands up for what is right. William Boyd is excellent as Hopalong Cassidy, portraying the character's fierce loyalty and sense of justice with conviction. George "Gabby" Hayes shines as the lovable sidekick Windy Halliday, providing comic relief to the otherwise tense and action-packed film.
