Hide in the Light is a horror film that was released in 2018. The movie stars Eric Roberts, Jesse James, and David Kaye, among others. It is a story of five young friends who decide to explore the ruins of an old factory in order to relive childhood memories. However, things start to take a dark turn when they encounter supernatural forces that haunt the place.
The film is set in the small town of Shady Grove, where a group of childhood friends gather to explore the ruins of a factory that they used to play in as children. The old building was reportedly the site of a tragic accident in the 1960s, when several workers were killed in a fire that broke out. Now, decades later, the factory is abandoned, and the friends are keen to explore the place once again.
Led by their friend Sarah (played by Kate Murdoch), the group ventures into the old factory, unaware of the horrors that await them. As they explore the abandoned building, strange things begin to happen. Objects move on their own, and eerie sounds fill the air. The group eventually splits up, as some of them decide to investigate different parts of the factory.
It is then that things really start to go wrong. The friends encounter a supernatural entity that seems to be stalking them. They hear whispers in the darkness and see shadowy figures moving about. One by one, the friends begin to disappear, until only a few of them are left. They soon realize that they are not just dealing with a simple ghost, but with an entity that is much more malevolent.
The remaining friends band together in an attempt to escape the factory before it's too late. However, they soon realize that the entity won't let them leave easily. They must confront their darkest fears and work together if they want to make it out alive.
One of the main themes of Hide in the Light is the idea of confronting one's own fears. Throughout the film, the characters must face their deepest fears, whether it be the fear of the dark or the fear of losing loved ones. It is only by conquering these fears that they are able to overcome the malevolent force that is haunting them.
The movie is well shot, with plenty of eerie moments that keep the audience on the edge of their seat. The special effects are also impressive, with the supernatural entity being especially unsettling. The film builds tension slowly, giving the audience time to get to know the characters before the real horror begins.
The performances in Hide in the Light are solid, with the cast doing a good job of conveying the fear and tension of the situation. Eric Roberts, in particular, stands out in his role as the local sheriff who becomes entangled in the supernatural events. His performance adds a touch of gravitas to the film, making it feel more like a serious horror movie than a cheap B-movie.
Overall, Hide in the Light is a well-crafted horror movie that will appeal to fans of the genre. It doesn't break any new ground, but it does what it sets out to do very effectively. It's a tense and creepy film that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. If you're a fan of supernatural horror, then Hide in the Light is definitely worth checking out.
Hide in the Light is a 2018 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.7.
