America's worst day was on September 11, 2001 when an act of terrorism destroyed the World Trade Center. Shown in detail are the rescue efforts that were brought on by the people themselves. Volunteers from firefighters to ordinary citizens showed their strength, and courage in the efforts for search and rescue after the attack. This movie captures the very heart of America and its people showing that they look out for one another as they search through the rubble for fallen friends, and strangers. This historical film puts into perspective the experience and the effort of those ordinary citizens who worked their hardest to search and rescue everyone they could.
