This film is centered around the character of Victor, played by Patrice Berthomier, who is a middle-aged man who appears to feel stuck in a rut. He works at a call center, where he spends his days answering the same monotonous questions over and over again. His personal life is also lacking excitement - his wife is distant and he has a strained relationship with his teenage son, who spends most of his time glued to his computer.

Despite his mundane life, Victor starts to have a series of strange experiences that shake him out of his routine. He receives mysterious phone calls from an unknown woman who seems to know a lot about him. He starts to have vivid dreams that blur the line between reality and fantasy. And he begins to notice small, subtle changes in the world around him that seem to suggest that something major is coming.

As the film progresses, Victor becomes increasingly obsessed with figuring out what is happening to him. He turns to various sources for answers, including a psychic, a computer hacker, and a group of conspiracy theorists. Along the way, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies that threaten to upend everything he thought he knew about himself and the world around him.

One of the most striking aspects of this movie is its depiction of the near-future world in which it takes place. The film is set in Paris in 2020, and the filmmakers do an excellent job of creating a believable, immersive vision of a world that is only a few years ahead of our own. The city is filled with high-tech gadgets and gizmos, and there is a pervasive sense of uncertainty and unease in the air.

Throughout the film, there are numerous references to technology and the role it plays in our lives. From the futuristic gadgets that are on display to the ubiquitous presence of social media and the internet, it's clear that technology is both a blessing and a curse in this world. At one point, a character even remarks that "we've become slaves to our own devices."

Despite its exploration of weighty themes, however, Futur Proche is not a heavy or overly serious film. It strikes a good balance between a serious, thought-provoking storyline and a sense of playfulness and whimsy. There are several moments of humorous dialogue and plenty of visual gags to keep things light.

Overall, this is a movie that is well worth checking out. It's a smart, entertaining film that is sure to leave you thinking long after the credits roll. Whether you're a fan of sci-fi, thrillers, or just good storytelling in general, Futur Proche is definitely worth your time.
