Frisbee: The Life and Death of a Hippie Preacher is the story of Lonnie Frisbee, the influential hippie-turned-Christian evangelist who helped form two of the largest California-based church denominations in the early 1970s and 1980s. However, because of some of his personal problems he was marginalized and ultimately written out of the histories of both these church movements.

The film was chosen by the Truly California documentary series to appear for 3 years on KQED in San Francisco and also garnered an Emmy nomination in 2007.
