Forward 13: Waking Up The American Dream is a documentary film that was released in 2014. A man by the name of Patrick Lovell lost his home during the 2008 housing crisis, and has decided to travel across the country in the hopes of understanding what has happened to him. The economic crisis caused ten million Americans to lose their homes, and seemed to strike people who did everything correctly. As Lovell travels the country he explores the concept that his labor did not cause him to become happy, but instead caused the financial sector to become more profitable.
