The movie Ein Lied von Liebe und Tod takes place in the county of Hungry right before World War II. Ilona and Laszlo own one of the best eating establishments around. Ilona is a great piano player and many of the male customers like her. She and a man named Andras become very close and eventually turn into lovers. He writes a song for her. Soon her lover and her husbands are gone. Laszlo has to choose between saving himself once World War II stars or staying with his wife that betrayed him.
