Drop Dead Sexy starring Jason Lee and Crispin Glover is a comedic story following two criminals, Eddie and Frank who are working on finding money to finally leave their hometown of Texas. When they finally seize the opportunity their boss offers them a chance to make some real money to drive cross country to Mexico. They are aware that there are bootlegged cigarettes that they must deliver and quickly take the opportunity. The story continues to unfold as they slowly discover they have been duped into a scam, when the truck turns out to be wrigged with traps, leaving them owing their boss millions of dollars. The adventure begins as the criminals try to find a way to raise the cash. Eddie uses his profession as a gravedigger to come up with a plan to dig up a rich exotic dancer, so that they can cash in on the valuable necklace that she is wearing. The scheme sends them on a new journey of raising money that they didn't exactly plan for.

The film may have audiences laughing at the dimwitted pair as they find themselves going from one adventure to another in order to raise the money that they need. Eddie and Jason's adventures include the sudden unexpected blowup of the truck which leads them into their scheme to raise the money for their boss. Frank who leads this criminal life after being fired as a car salesman and Eddie's background as a grave digger allow the two to come up with a comedic scheme that may leave the audience wondering how it will all turn out. The twists and turns of the story come when they both realize that they can't rebury the body, because they are now emotionally attached. The audience is taken on a journey that never ends as the Eddie and Frank climb deeper in debt monetarily and emotionally.
