The film was directed and written by George Kingsnorth. The movie follows the lives of three friends, Carl (Demian Fox), Ralph (Shane O'Brien), and Andy (James Walmsley), who are all struggling to make ends meet in their mundane and uneventful lives. Desperate for a change, they decide to leave their hometown of Hull, England, and travel to Amsterdam to start anew. In Amsterdam, they quickly discover that living the dream is much harder than they thought it would be.
As they try to make a living through various means, such as street magic and signing up for medical studies, they come across a mysterious masked man who goes by the name of "Discoverdale". Discoverdale, who is a social media star and notorious party animal, offers the three friends the opportunity of a lifetime: to join him on a wild and unpredictable journey across Europe as they shoot a documentary about his life.
The trio agrees to go along with Discoverdale's plan and set out on a journey that takes them through some of the most beautiful cities in Europe, such as Paris, Berlin, and Barcelona. Along the way, they encounter a series of exciting but dangerous situations, including getting chased by angry locals, running from the police, and being trapped in a burning van.
Throughout the movie, the three friends undergo a transformation as they learn more about themselves and each other, and discover the true meaning of friendship. They also realize that fame and fortune are not as important as true happiness and contentment.
