Chaani is movie is based on a story about a fisherwoman and her family. Her father is an Englishman while her mother is a local woman. She is basically half white and half Indian. The story explains her life as a fisherwoman and what they typically do. It is very rare for a woman to have this kind of job, especially where she lives. Most of the men in her village do the fishing and she is practically the only female that does this line of work. It is interesting to learn that even a female can do fishing as well as man can.
