Called to Dance is a heart-warming and inspiring movie that celebrates the power of dance to heal and transform lives. Directed by David Seymour and starring Jen Ray, Jason Burkey, and Lily Mae Harrington, this movie tells the story of a young woman named Jordan who dreams of becoming a professional dancer. Jordan is a talented dancer who has been dancing since she was a child. However, she has had to overcome many obstacles to pursue her passion for dance. Her mother is a conservative Christian who disapproves of her daughter's interest in dance and wants her to focus on her studies instead. Jordan's father is supportive of her dreams but is struggling to make ends meet as a small-town pastor.
Despite these challenges, Jordan continues to pursue her passion for dance and decides to audition for a prestigious dance academy in New York City. She is accepted into the program but soon finds herself struggling to keep up with the rigorous demands of the academy. She also struggles to connect with her fellow students, who come from very different backgrounds and have very different personalities.
Things start to change for Jordan when she meets Brandon, a handsome and talented dancer who she is paired with for a performance. As they work together, Jordan and Brandon begin to develop a deep connection that goes beyond their shared love of dance.
Meanwhile, Jordan's mother begins to have a change of heart about her daughter's passion for dance. She sees how much joy and fulfillment it brings Jordan and begins to understand why this is so important to her.
As Jordan prepares for her final performance at the academy, she must confront her fears and doubts about her ability to succeed as a dancer. With the support of her family and friends, and the love of Brandon, she finds the strength to believe in herself and to chase her dreams.
Overall, Called to Dance is a beautifully crafted movie that celebrates the power of dance to bring people together and to help us find our own inner strength and courage. It is a must-see for anyone who loves dance or who has ever had a dream they were afraid to pursue.
