Burnout tells the tale of a teenager with a troubled life, as he aspires become one of the most successful racecar drivers in the world. Follow Scott, the aspiring racecar driver as he attempts to break into the high-flying, fast and dangerous sport with the connection of his father Jeff, who is a successful businessman. However, against the better judgment of his father, Scott decides to leave his father's side and venture into the cutthroat world of drag racing, and shadow one of the most popular racecar drivers in the world.
