This is an instructional video. This will teach you the basics of flintknapping, the foundation of which is percussion flaking. One half of this two hour video is spent "in the classroom" learning John's comprehension of the physics behind flake removal. The 2nd hour is spent; 1- removing flakes making a core and, 2- making a bifacial preform. Flake by flake, unravel the secrets. The McPhersons are internationally know as experts in the field of primitive technology.
