Clete Mattson must travel across the river to Mexico. He has $2,000,000 worth of gold that he needs to trade for guns and other essentials for the confederate army. He needs a little help until he can secure what he needs. He knows who he cannot trust, but he is not sure about one person, Carmelita. Clete likes her a lot, but the oppressive leader of the town has already staked claim to her. Clete does not seem to mind that Carmelita has shown him signs that she likes him a lot as well. It may all be a game and if he does not make the right choice in who to trust, it could cost him more than the $2,000,000.
