Watch Bintou

Bintou is a hardworking mother who lives with her children and her husband in an extremely impoverished corner of Africa. They don't have much money but what they do have they aim to spend it only on necessities. Bintou is willing to use the money to pay for her daughter's education, even though she is constantly beaten and ridiculed by her husband since he believes that little girls should not be educated. Much to the anger of her husband, Bintou decides to ignore what he believes and raise some money so that she may send her daughter to school with the hopes that she grows up to live a better life.
