Bidhatar Khela is a Bengali movie that was released in 2007. The movie stars Jisshu Sengupta and Ranjit Mallick in lead roles, and it was directed by Raja Sen. The story revolves around two brothers, Riju and Rono. Riju is an honest police officer who always strives to do what is right, while Rono is a criminal who is constantly getting into trouble with the law. Riju tries his best to reform Rono and make him a better person, but his efforts go in vain.

Things take an interesting turn when Rono is hired by a politician to assassinate a famous writer named Joydeep. Joydeep is a social activist who is fighting against corruption and injustice in the society. Riju is assigned to provide security to Joydeep, and he soon realizes that his own brother is after him.

The rest of the movie shows how Riju tries to protect Joydeep from his brother and the politician. As the story progresses, we get to see the different shades of Riju's character. He is torn between his duty as a police officer and his love for his brother. He is willing to go to any extent to protect his brother, but at the same time, he cannot compromise on his values.

The movie also touches upon various social issues like corruption, nepotism, and power play in politics. It shows how the common man is at the mercy of the corrupt politicians and how they exploit their position of power for personal gains.

The performances of Jisshu Sengupta and Ranjit Mallick are the major highlight of the movie. Jisshu Sengupta delivers a powerful performance as Riju, the honest and upright police officer. He brings out the emotional turmoil of the character with great finesse. Ranjit Mallick, on the other hand, steals the show with his portrayal of Rono, the criminal with a heart. He brings out the vulnerability and the humane side of the character, which makes the audience root for him.

The supporting cast, which includes actors like Saswata Chatterjee and Kunal Mitra, also deliver good performances. The music of the movie, composed by Debajyoti Mishra, is soulful and adds to the mood of the movie.

Overall, Bidhatar Khela is a well-made movie that deals with a sensitive issue. It showcases the bond between two brothers and how their lives take different paths due to the circumstances they are in. The movie also highlights the need for honesty, integrity, and values in our society.
