The Basic Math Word Problem Tutor teaches students how to easily tackle basic math word problems. Understanding how to read a written word problem and how to arrive at the solution is a crucial skill to master. In order to do this, students must not only understand how to perform the required math functions correctly, they must be able to read the problem and understand which math functions are required to arrive at the solution. This program focuses on building skills with word problems that require the subtraction of whole numbers in order to arrive at the solution. Emphasis is placed on teaching students how to identify the clues the problem will present in order to know when to subtract whole numbers to arrive at the answer. Students will be able to work problems with ease, improve their problem-solving skills and understand the underlying concepts of Basic Math Word Problems.
